eSkootr Championship to Launch New Mobility Leadership Forum

Business leaders and opinion formers from across micromobility and transport to unite at London Forum in May.

As part of its first ever race weekend in London, the eSkootr Championship™ (eSC) is bringing together the key players in micromobility, transport and sports governance for a high-level leadership forum.

Hosted at the Printworks London venue in Rotherhithe, South East London, on Friday 13 May, invited delegates will debate key topics around new mobility, including how public policy can support the development of micromobility and the ways in which sport can help shape the public’s mindset.

The Forum will host three panels involving speakers from across the industry, including micromobility operators, city leaders and sporting champions.

As part of this event, eSC has agreed a media partnership with leading micromobility publication Zag Daily, the daily source of news and views from the rapidly growing industry. Zag will manage the content and promotion of the event, curating a conference programme discussion and debate on the key issues in the sector.

Confirmed speakers for the event include:

Thomas Ableman, Director of Innovation, Transport for London

Georgia Yexley, General Manager, Tier Mobility

Adam Norris, Founder, Pure Electric

Edmund King, President, The AA

Vivian Myrtetus, Head of Partnerships & Policy, Helbiz

Duncan Robertson, General Manager, Dott

Adam Tranter, Cycling & Walking Commissioner, West Midlands

Frank Lawley, Head of Sport, Unicef UK

James Padden, General Manager, Bird

Vicky Gosling OBE, CEO, GB Snowsport

Hal Stevenson, Senior Public Affairs Manager, Lime

Following the conference sessions, delegates will have the opportunity for B2B and B2G networking before enjoying the on-track action at the global race debut of eSC.

Alex Wurz, Co-Founder, eSC, said: “The eSkootr Championship is far more than just another racing series. We are on a mission to develop new micromobility solutions in major city centres, where they are needed most, that are not only smart but also safe, inclusive and sustainable. Our London forum will bring together the brightest minds in the industry to help provide the answers to issues standing in the way of a smarter future. I can think of no better place to host this than in London, where eSC will kickstart a fantastic journey for its maiden season, and where the public use of e-scooters is currently a key issue of debate. Part of our aim is to change the perception of e-scooter use so we’re very excited to be leading this event.”

Richard Woods, Founding Partner, Zag Group, said: “We’re very proud to be working with the eSkootr Championship on this important event. The series has the potential to promote sustainable micromobility solutions on a global scale and we at Zag are very keen to follow its progress. We firmly believe that this developing technology will help alleviate road fatalities, air pollution and the climate crisis and that now is the time to shake up the urban landscape.”
